Mostly dry means itll likely rain

RSS

TURNBERRY, Scotland – Something must be getting misplaced in translation, which occurs more often than you would think here in the land of Robert the Bruce.

Thursday’s early forecast called for “mostly dry,” which in Scottish must mean a light cold rain immanent by the looks of the clouds that have moved over Turnberry.

Or, as the old saw goes, if you can’t see Ailsa Craig it’s going to rain, if you can see it, it already is raining.

It’s hard to figure who has the more capricious job, a Scottish weatherman or a Wall Street analyst.
