New caddie on the bag for D. Johnson in 2013-14

RSS

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Dustin Johnson has a new caddie on the bag full-time, but hardly a new face.

His 26-year-old brother Austin, who looped in Australia and China – the latter of which was a victory at the WGC-HSBC Champions – is again caddying at this week’s Northwestern Mutual World Challenge and will have the job for the 2013-14 season.

“He’s new, so he’s got a lot to learn,” Johnson said, “but I just really enjoy having him on the bag and having him with me.”

Johnson had previously employed Bobby Brown, who had served as his caddie for most of his first six years on the PGA Tour. They parted ways for a few months in 2011, but reunited after Joe LaCava left Johnson to work for Tiger Woods.

“We did really well together for a long time,” Johnson said. “Nothing happened, I just like having my little brother out here with me. … But Bobby’s been great. We had a really good run.”
