Nicklaus believes Woods will still break his record

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Jack Nicklaus is waiting for Tiger Woods to make another run.

“I’ve said all along, I am surprised he hasn’t bounced back by now,” Nicklaus said before teeing it up Wednesday at the Honda Classic Gold Pro-Am.

Nicklaus believes Woods possesses a quality that will be key to bringing back his winning form.

“He has a great work ethic, at least he did, and I’m assuming he still does,” Nicklaus said.

Nicklaus said he hasn’t seen the work Woods is putting in to regain his top form, but he believes he’s still driven to succeed. Woods, winless in 15 months, is sitting on 14 professional major championship triumphs, four short of equaling the Nicklaus’ mark.

“I still think he will break my record,” Nicklaus said.
