Greg Norman won’t tee it up next week, after all.
Norman, who announced last month that he would compete at the Humana Challenge, withdrew from the event Wednesday because of a lingering knee injury. He is scheduled to meet with an orthopedic surgeon next week.
“I was very excited about competing in the Humana Challenge and supporting the Clinton Foundation and my corporate partners,” he said in a release, “and I’m extremely disappointed that my condition has forced me to withdraw from the event.”
The 58-year-old Norman has played only two PGA Tour events since 2010. Two years ago, he withdrew after two rounds at the Humana and missed the cut at the Mayakoba Classic.
