NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – Sean O’Hair, who withdrew from Wednesday’s pro-am with back pain after 13 holes, teed off as scheduled at 8:37 a.m. (ET) at Aronimink Golf Club.

O’Hair, who lives close to the club and is a member at Aronimink, originally tweaked his back during a practice round on Tuesday and, according to his trainer Dr. Craig Davies, it “hurts more to get into posture than to actually swing.” O’Hair underwent treatment Wednesday afternoon and was taking anti-inflammatory medication.

The injury is likely the byproduct of too much golf. O’Hair has played in five of the last seven events and wanted to be careful with the British Open looming.
