Oklahoma State quarterback to walks on to golf team

Oklahoma State's all-conference quarterback Brandon Weeden will be trying his hand ... or arm ... at another sport.

After announcing during a news conference that he would be returning for another football season, Weeden offered up this news via Twitter: 'I forgot to mention I'm also the newest member of the OSU golf team!!!! Proud to be part of something special! Football and Golf!!!!'

OSU golf coach, Mike McGraw, told The Oklahoman that some of his players have been impressed by Weeden's swing.

'They like his game,' McGraw said. 'Now am I saying he's going to lead us to a national championship? Probably not.'

Weeden, 27 (yes, 27), will join the squad as a walk-on. The Cowboys have won nine men's National Championship titles, the last in 2006.
