ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – Louis Oosthuizen has picked up where he left off Thursday afternoon at the Open Championship.
The South African went out early for Round 2 and parred the first four holes, but rattled off three consecutive birdies on Nos. 5-7. He added another birdie on the 10th, gave it back with bogey on the 11th but birdied the 12th hole to get to 11 under par for the championship.
'It's still early in the tournament,' Oosthuizen said following Round 1. 'But it's always nice seeing your name up there.'
Several birdie holes remain for Oosthuizen even though conditions are not perfect for scoring and it is raining.
