ATLANTA – Louis Oosthuizen is set to make his return next week at the European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship his manager confirmed.
Oosthuizen has been nursing neck, back and hip injuries and hasn’t played since he missed the cut at the John Deere Classic in July, but International Sports Management’s Chubby Chandler told GolfChannel.com the South African began practicing last Thursday and plans to play next week in Scotland.
The Dunhill will be Oosthuizen’s only start before the Presidents Cup and International captain Nick Price said earlier this month he would be monitoring his progress.
“My biggest concern for the top 10 right now is Louis Oosthuizen and how his health is going to be,” Price said. “He's had three, four, five weeks of therapy now, and he's very confident that he's going to be able to play at the Dunhill.”
