Jesper Parnevik spoke with Golf Channel’s Inga Hammond Tuesday afternoon from PGA Tour Q-School in West Palm Beach, Fla., and said he completely supported the privacy of Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin, during the recent events.
Wednesday was a different story.
Parnevik and his wife Mia introduced Elin Nordegren to Tiger Woods 8 years ago but now, after hearing that Woods admitted to “transgressions” against his family, Parnevik says he wishes that Tiger and Elin had never met.
“I would be especially sad about it since I’m kind of – I really feel sorry for Elin – since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him,” Parnevik told the Golf Channel Wednesday at Q-School. “We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I would probably need to apologize to her.”

Nordegren, 29, began working for the Parneviks as a nanny in 2001 and Jesper has said on numerous occasions that he considers Elin part of his family, a little sister of sorts.
“It’s a private thing of course,” Parnevik said. “But when you are the guy he is, the world’s best athlete, you should think more before you do stuff. . . and maybe not just do it, like Nike says.”
Parnevik, a five-time winner on the PGA Tour, said he contacted Woods' 'people' following the Friday SUV accident but has not received a return call.
