PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – PGA Tour pro Steve Marino ran a post pattern up the middle of the 18th fairway and under a perfect spiral from New England Patriots quarterback
Tom Brady Saturday afternoon at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
He also ran a couple slant patterns as Brady's primary receiver after someone broke out a football there.
'I didn't drop any of them, either,' said Marino, who played some serious golf around the football fun. 'It was pretty cool out there.
'There were so many people out there in Patriots jerseys and fans from other teams saying things to him.'
Marino shot 5-under-par 67 and will start the third round tied for seventh and six shots off the lead. As a team, Marino-Brady were not as sharp, missing the pro-am cut. They finished tied for 113th at 11 under.
