Perry feeling rejuvenated in Champions Tour debut

Kenny Perry’s almost sneaking onto the Champions Tour.

That’s what it feels like with his entry into this week’s Administaff Small Business Classic at The Woodlands in Texas getting little fanfare more than two months after he turned 50.

But you know it’s a big deal to his colleagues. They’ve got to be thinking Perry's the guy to beat even with Fred Couples and Bernhard Langer in the field. Though Perry has struggled with some nagging physical problems this year, he won twice on the PGA Tour last year.

“It's a welcome relief,” Perry said of joining the 50-and-over circuit. “I kind of got burned out. I just kind of lost a little focus. This has just kind of rejuvenated me a, little bit. I've had a smile on my face, and I've really looked forward to coming to Houston.”
