Pettersen making years first major look easy

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Watch out for Suzann Pettersen at the Kraft Nabisco Championship this week.

She walked away beaming after touring the tough setup in the first round of the year’s first major championship at the Mission Hills’ Dinah Shore Tournament Course.

“Very stress free golf today,” Pettersen said after taking the early lead with a 5-under-par 67.

Stress free? A major?

Pettersen said she hit all 14 fairways and 16 of 18 greens in regulation. She didn't make a bogey.

“The two [greens] I missed were by about a foot,” Pettersen said.
