Pettersen resting injured foot

Suzann Pettersen originally intended to play the LPGA’s Hana Bank-Kolon Championship in two weeks, but her injured left foot will need more time for recuperation before she returns to action. She’s back at her Orlando home after a trip to Copenhagen, where she helped with a presentation that secured golf as part of the 2016 Olympics. She has been diagnosed with a stress fracture. Her agent, Jan Ove Nystuen, said by e-mail Friday that Pettersen plans to return to golf at the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge Nov. 9-10 and then play the Lorena Ochoa Invitational Nov. 12-15 and the LPGA Tour Championship Nov. 19-22.
