Phil goes with filet at Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. – So much for the vegetarian Champions Dinner.

Phil Mickelson unveiled his menu for his third Champions Dinner, a meal that includes a filet mignon main course and an Empanada de Manzana desert, a Spanish apple pie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate cinnamon ganache. The wine list includes a 2007 Aalto and 2008 Ossian.

The dinner’s Spanish theme is in honor of Seve Ballesteros, the two-time champion who is battling brain cancer.

Lefty didn’t make it to the golf course on Monday after arriving from Houston late Sunday, but he did workout with trainer Sean Cochran. He must have been making room for that champions’ feast.
