D.A. Points

SAN DIEGO – Spied Farmers Insurance Open co-leader D.A. Points this morning on the practice tee using a popular drill that features a folded towel tucked beneath his arms during the swing.

The drill is designed to keep his swing compact and his arms connected during the swing and may be the most cost-effective swing aid in the game.

As for the topic du jour, Points – who has played Ping clubs for much of his career before switching to TaylorMade this season – said he experimented with one of the legal-yet-non-conforming Ping Eye 2 wedges before the season began but decided not to use it for performance reasons.
