PRATTVILLE, Ala. – It’s Passionately Pink Day at the Navistar LPGA Classic.
That’s why you’ll see LPGA pros all wearing pink today. Morgan Pressel said she would have relished wearing pink every round this week, that’s how passionate she is about what the color symbolizes. It’s the color used to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pressel begins the second round, however, concerned about a certain fashion problem in her wardrobe. She doesn’t have a pink rain suit and rain is forecast today. She sports pink in every round, though. That's the color of her golf bag.
Pressel’s mother, Kathy, died of breast cancer when Morgan was 15. Pressel has taken up the cause in the fight in a big way. She has her own charity fundraiser the first week of January in Boca Raton, Fla., where she lives. Her Morgan & Friends event has raised $750,000 in two years.
