Pretty in pink

BETHLEHEM, Pa. –  You can expect to see Paula Creamer’s trademark pink golf ball for two more rounds at the U.S. Women’s Open. Creamer normally plays her Precept Pink Lady iQ 180 ball on Sundays only, but she’ll break tradition this week and play it for all four days. Why not? Creamer shot a 3-under-par 68 on Friday with the ball and at 2 under overall, trails Cristie Kerr by just two shots heading into the weekend.

“I didn’t get to play last week [at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger] so I figured why not play it all four days,” said Creamer, who’s battling an injured left thumb that required two cortisone shots last week. “It’s a nice change and it looks good out here on the green grass.”

Creamer’s iQ 180 ball is no different than the white version, except in color. Oh, and one other thing.

“The pink one is prettier,” said Creamer.
