Q-School 10 under looking good

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – Starting this cold and windy concluding day of Q-School finals, 9 under par was in a tie for 22nd, safely sitting within the ‘bubble’ of earning a 2011 PGA Tour card.

It could be, considering these tough conditions, and considering the mental fatigue each player must be feeling by this point in the tournament, a 9-under total at the end of the day would still get the job done.

'I couldn't hardly feel my hands out there all day,' one player groaned after walking off his final hole to sum up the effects of the cold temps.

But these guys are good. And they’re fighting for their lives – or at least the next year of their lives, anyway.

So maybe it’s not so surprising that, with a large proportion of the field having already visited the scoring tent for one final time, the cut line has now pushed to 10 under, seeing 27 players in the clubhouse at that mark or better.

Maybe it just took six rounds for the fall classic participants to get warmed up, so to speak.
