Q-School First round wrapped

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – If the old adage, “You can’t win it on the first day, only lose it” holds true with Q-School finals, Wednesday's first round saw just a limited amount of players fall into the latter category and a majority of the field still yet to waffle either way.

With 7 under (Kyle Stanley) leading the way and even par looming in a large tie for 51st, only 15 players of the 162-man field shot 5 over or higher, meaning, with five rounds remaining, there’s still plenty of time for almost everyone to jockey into position before all is said and done.

How it will ultimately shake out this week no one knows, but one thing’s for certain for every participant who felt those jitters on their opening tee shot this morning: those pre-tournament, trying-desperately-not-to-throw-up nerves are finally gone and now it’s all about hunkering down for the rest of a long week.
