SAN DIEGO – His playoff loss to Jhonattan Vegas was still fresh in Bill Haas’ mind as he drove home late last Sunday from the Bob Hope Classic.
“My wife told me to look at all the good things that happened this week,” Haas said. “But it was hard. I’d had a chance to win another tournament . . .”
Despite the sting the two-time PGA Tour winner rebounded quickly thanks to a relaxing dinner with his wife and a Monday morning clinic at Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, Calif., for his swing coach Billy Harmon.
His Hope miss seemed like a distant memory on Saturday as he teed off with a two-stroke lead at the Farmers Insurance Open.
