Red numbers falling away fast

RSS

OAKMONT, Pa. – And then there was one.

Brittany Lang is the lone player still under par just 27 hours into the U.S. Women’s Open at Oakmont.

Lang, who opened with four pars this morning and is still at 2-under for the championship, started the day as one of five players under par.

Kelli Shean, the 22-year-old amateur from South Africa, dropped from red numbers with bogeys at two of her first three holes. Amy Yang shed her red number similarly. Inbee Park and M.J. Hur dropped from the under-par ranks five holes into the second round.
