From now on, Patrick Reed should be known as "Mr. Monday."
For the fifth time this season, Reed successfully earned a spot in a PGA Tour field through Monday qualifying. Reed shot 7-under 65 at Lake Caroline GC in Madison, Miss., to earn the last of four spots into this week's True South Classic.
With four holes to play, Reed was outside the top four, but he eagled the par-5 15th and birdid the par-3 17th to finish alone in fourth by a shot over five other players.
Reed began his Monday run at the Valero Texas Open, where the Augusta State product was pulled out of the qualifying tournament after sponsors offered him an exemption. The 21-year-old has since played his way into the Zurich Classic, Wells Fargo Championship, HP Byron Nelson Championship and Travelers Championship.
In total, Reed has made four cuts in seven starts this season, missing the cut last week at the John Deere Classic. He has earned $130,790.
