Sarazen's grandson dies of brain aneurysm at 40


Geoff Sarazen, grandson of golf legend Gene Sarazen and a longtime Georgia PGA member, passed away on Tuesday.

The cause of death was a brain aneurysm. He was 40.

Sarazen served a lengthy stint as director of golf and golf professional at Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Ga., which also holds ties to his grandfather.

Throughout the years, Sarazen often played an annual golf match against the grandson of Bobby Jones, celebrating their lineage within the game.
