Saturday fourballs announced


MEDINAH, Ill. – The Americans will bench their most successful pairing for the afternoon fourballs Saturday at Medinah.

Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley, who have electrified the crowd in going 3-0 in the first three sessions, will not play in the afternoon, ensuring that no U.S. player will compete in all five sessions at the Ryder Cup.

Despite a 0-2 record on Friday, Tiger Woods will again partner with Steve Stricker in fourballs. They have lost four consecutive team matches.

The Saturday fourball pairings:

1:05 p.m. ET: Dustin Johnson-Matt Kuchar vs. Nicolas Colsaerts-Paul Lawrie

1:20 p.m.: Bubba Watson-Webb Simpson vs. Justin Rose-Francesco Molinari

1:35 p.m.: Tiger Woods-Steve Stricker vs. Sergio Garcia-Luke Donald

1:50 p.m.: Jason Dufner-Zach Johnson vs. Rory McIlroy-Ian Poulter
