After both notched resounding victories in their respective semifinal matches, Scottie Scheffler and Davis Riley will square off Saturday in the 36-hole final at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.

Scheffler, a 17-year-old from Dallas who is committed to play for the University of Texas beginning in the fall of 2014, won his semifinal 6&4 Friday over Doug Ghin. It was the second win for Scheffler Friday at Martis Camp Club in Truckee, Calif., having defeated P.J. Samiere, 3&2, during his quarterfinal match earlier in the day.

Meeting Scheffler in Saturday's final match will be Riley, a 16-year-old from Hattiesburg, Miss., who plans to play his collegiate golf at the University of Alabama. Riley won his semifinal match over John Augenstein, 4&3, taking out a player who had earlier eliminated medalist Jim Liu as well as one of the hottest players this week in Truckee, Sam Horsfield. With the match all square through seven holes, Riley won three straight holes from Nos. 8-10 to build a lead he would not relinquish.

Open to all junior boys under the age of 18 with a handicap index of 6.4 or better, the U.S. Junior Amateur counts among its former champions Johnny Miller (1964), David Duval (1989), Tiger Woods (1991-1993), Hunter Mahan (1999) and Jordan Spieth (2009, 2011).
