Scoring area changes for 2012 Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Little changes at Augusta National but there will be a dramatic makeover for this year’s Masters.

The iconic scoring hut, a portable green structure located just behind the 18th green, has been removed for this year’s tournament. Players will now sign their scorecards in an office between the pro shop and main clubhouse.

Originally players signed their scorecards at temporary tables behind the 18th hole, but the hut was added sometime after Robert De Vicenzo signed for an incorrect score during the 1968 Masters and lost to Bob Goalby by a stroke.
