Scott finally finds focus post-Masters win

BETHESDA, Md. – It’s been more than two months since Adam Scott won the Masters, but he just recently got back into the routine that helped him claim the green jacket.

ldquo;I really felt like last week the focus went back on, when I was on the range at home,” he said Wednesday in advance of the AT&T National. “It was really productive again, and it felt like it did before winning the Masters. I think somewhat understandably you can kind of get lost a little bit; you can just float along. You know, I was playing OK, but it just wasn’t the same as beforehand and now there’s a purpose again, for sure.”

Scott maintained that his first major victory still hasn’t quite sunk in, but mostly because he hasn’t allowed it to sink in.

“I haven’t really fully reflected on the Masters yet,” he explained. “I’ve tried not to do that and get on with the rest of the year and make it as good as can be after such a great start, but it’s been tough, too. There’s been a lot of things to juggle in between.”

Since his Masters win, Scott has finished T-19 at The Players Championship; T-13 at The Memorial Tournament; and T-45 at the U.S. Open.
