Snedeker playing every event through playoffs

AKRON, Ohio – Brandt Snedeker is playing his third week in a row at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. He’ll need to get used to that recurring theme.

“If the PGA Tour has a tournament,” he said Wednesday, “I'm going to play the rest of the year.”

Indeed, last week’s RBC Canadian Open champion will follow this tournament with starts at the PGA Championship, Wyndham Championship, The Barclays, Deutsche Bank Championship, BMW Championship, Tour Championship (as long as he qualifies for all the playoff events) and Presidents Cup.

That could be a troubling schedule for a player dealing with a lingering rib injury, but Snedeker maintained that he’s taking precautions to limit the issue.

“I'm being really smart about practice and taking time away,” he said. “I didn't touch a club since Sunday, two days off with the family, which was nice. Being real smart about how much I'm hitting balls and practicing, and should be fine.”
