Snedeker, Rose co-lead at Tour Championship

Brandt Snedeker and Justin Rose find their names atop a crowded leaderboard entering the final round of the season's final playoff event.

Snedeker fired the round of the day, a bogey-free 6-under-par 64 in which he hit 17/18 greens in regulation. Starting the week fifth in the FedEx Cup points standings, Snedeker controls his own destiny and will win the season-long FedEx Cup with a win on Sunday.

Rose recorded his third consecutive round under par, shooting 68 on Saturday and – like Snedeker – made his way around East Lake without a bogey. He enters Sunday's final round alongside Snedeker at 8-under, looking to become the first European player to ever win the Tour Championship.

World No. 1 Rory McIlroy shot a 2-under-par 68 in the third round and will begin Sunday at 5-under, just three shots behind the co-leaders. One shot back is a group that includes Tiger Woods – who bounced back from a second-round 73 to shoot 67 on Saturday – Robert Garrigus, Matt Kuchar and Bo Van Pelt.

Second-round leader Jim Furyk remained near the top of the leaderboard until the 17th hole, where a drive into the water resulted in a triple-bogey 7. Furyk, like McIlroy and Masters champion Bubba Watson, will begin Sunday's final round three shots behind the co-leaders.

Despite being a limited-field event, the leaderboard remains bunched entering Sunday as 10 of the 30 players at East Lake will begin the final round within four shots of the lead.
