Solheim Cup Saturday foursomes and tee times

RSS

PARKER, Colo. – The 13th Solheim Cup matches continue Saturday at Colorado Golf Club where the Europeans hold a 5-3 lead. Here is a breakdown of the morning foursome (alternate shot) matches with analysis from Jay Coffin and Randall Mell, who are both on-site covering the event.

Match 9 - 9:40AM ET: Anna Nordqvist-Caroline Hedwall (Europe) vs. Morgan Pressel-Jessica Korda (U.S.)

COFFIN: Fantastic opening match for Day 2 with sluggers all over the place. Pressel and Korda were stellar together and there's no reason why they won't be again. U.S. WINS

MELL: Wow, don't miss this one, Swedish Vikings against American dynamoes. There should be fireworks with these hot pairings, but Pressel teams with Korda to get the Americans back on track. U.S. WINS

Match 10 - 9:52AM ET: Azahara Munoz-Karine Icher (Europe) vs. Stacy Lewis-Paula Creamer (U.S.)

COFFIN: Lewis and Creamer could not be more miffed, going a combined 0-3 on Day 1. If they harness that frustration they'll roll over a Europe team that played well together Friday. U.S. WINS

MELL: Lewis and Creamer should have fire in their eyes after going winless Friday. They're too good to lose again, especially together. U.S. WINS

Match 11 - 10:04AM ET: Catriona Matthew-Caroline Masson (Europe) vs. Brittany Lincicome-Lizette Salas (U.S.)

COFFIN: Lincicome and Salas could be a strong pairing but Matthew and Masson will not budge an inch. This match could go either way, so I'll go with the team that should be more consistent. EUROPE WINS

MELL: Matthew also went 0-2 Friday, and she's too formidable a match-play opponent to lose again. Masson played well Friday, and she will again with Matthew. EUROPE WINS

Match 12 - 10:16AM ET: Suzann Pettersen-Beatriz Recari (Europe) vs. Michelle Wie-Brittany Lang (U.S.)

COFFIN: Pettersen is on a mission after going 2-0 the first day. She already won a foursomes match paired with Recari and they have great chemistry. Will be tough to handle. EUROPE WINS

MELL: Pettersen and Recari were so well matched in their Friday foursomes victory. They're playing with such confidence and momentum. EUROPE WINS

Note: Cristie Kerr, Angela Stanford, Gerina Piller and Lexi Thompson are sitting for the U.S. Carlota Ciganda, Ciganda, Charley Hull, Giulia Sergas and Jodi Ewart-Shadoff are sitting for Europe.
