St. Louis to host 2014 Curtis Cup


After losing the Curtis Cup on Sunday for the first time since 1996, the United States team will seek to regain it in 2014 at St. Louis CC.

The U.S. Golf Association announced the Missouri club as the host for the biennial match after Great Britain and Ireland defeated the American team 10.5-9.5 in Nairn, Scotland, on Sunday.

Dun Laoghaire Club in Ireland was also announced as host of the 2016 match.

Until Sunday, the United States had won the previous seven matches. Since its founding in 1932, the United States has an all-time record of 27-7-3 in the series.
