Stomach virus can't slow Glover

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Lucas Glover signed for his opening-round 67, his third-lowest card of the year, and headed straight back to his hotel, the victim of what sources say is a stomach virus.

“He met me at 7 (a.m.) and said he didn’t feel great,” said Randy Myers, Glover’s trainer.

The ailment didn’t seem to have much impact on Glover’s play. He posted eight birdies and is currently tied for third place, a stroke behind co-leaders Jonathan Byrd and David Toms.
