SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods proved an unbeatable team at the Presidents Cup last fall.
Stricker said Sunday at the PGA Championship that he would like to keep their act together at the Ryder Cup this fall.
That’s provided Corey Pavin makes Woods one of his four captain’s picks on Sept. 7.
“I would love to play with [Woods] again,” Stricker said.
“We talked about it earlier this year, back in May. The reason it works, I think, we get along with one another very well. I think we complement each other's games nicely. Two different style games, but I think we putt well, we get it up and down well, and I think mostly we're comfortable with each other and I'm comfortable with him, which I think in years past some of his partners haven't been too comfortable playing with him. So, I'm, hopefully, looking forward to being paired with him again. It’s going to be a tough trip, a tough match, but it should be exciting and fun.”
Stricker and Woods were 4-0 helping the Americans beat the Internationals in the Presidents Cup.
