Steve Stricker, perhaps the game’s best part-time player, said on Sunday following the Presidents Cup that he plans to play a similar schedule next season.
“Probably about the same,” Stricker said. “Maybe 11 or 12 events.”
Stricker, who added the final three playoff events to his schedule in 2013 to make the Presidents Cup team and a run at the FedEx Cup crown, will add one event to his line up for the 2013-14 season. He told GolfChannel.com at Muirfield Village that he plans to play the Open Championship.
“My daughter said she would like to go (to Royal Liverpool) so that seems like one (he would add),” said Stricker, who went 3-2-0 for the U.S. team last week.
Stricker said he will likely follow his same schedule next season, with starts at the WGC-Accenture Match Play, WGC-Cadillac Championship, Shell Houston Open, Masters, The Players, U.S. Open, John Deere Classic, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and PGA Championship as well as the Open Championship.
