NORTON, Mass. – Jason Day watched patiently while Brandt Snedeker made a slow and unsavory mess of the 18th hole on Sunday, statistically the easiest at TPC Boston this week.
From the fairway Snedeker dumped his second shot into a hazard short of the green, took a drop but came up short in the rough with his fourth and faced a difficult chip from 40 feet to avoid a two-stroke swing.
“Five bucks he gets up and down,” Day told his caddie Col Swatton just before Snedeker chipped in for an unlikely par.
“After that, he was like, ‘Whoa,’” Swatton smiled early Monday.
