SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – U.S. Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin is hosting an informal gathering at his rented house near Whistling Straits for a group of players who could potentially play on his team in Wales.
Among the attendees expected to be at the gathering are potential captain’s picks Stewart Cink, Lucas Glover and Rickie Fowler. No word on whether Tiger Woods will attend. The world No. 1 is currently 10th on the team standings and met with Pavin earlier Wednesday, although the captain declined to give any specifics of the meeting.
“The conversations that I have with all of my players or potential players are between us,” Pavin said. “It's very serious stuff sometimes that we talk about and sometimes it isn't.”
