LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Fall has officially arrived on the PGA Tour.
Friday’s forecast at the BMW Championship calls for a high temperature that barely crawls above 60 degrees and a wind that is expected to gust up to 25 mph. It’s a stark contrast to earlier this week, when the high temperature in Chicago hit a record 96 degrees.
The changing weather could prove quite a challenge for the players, many of whom are seeing Conway Farms for the first time this week.
The wind direction has changed each day, and Friday it is expected to blow out of the north. Two days ago, it was out of the west. On Saturday, for the third round, the wind is expected out of the southwest.
No precipitation is in the forecast for the next two days – Saturday: 68 degrees and 7-12 mph winds. But it appears to be a different story for the final round – the Tour’s meteorologist expects mostly-cloudy skies with a 70-percent chance of rain.
