The legacy of Bruce Edwards

Bruce Edwards, Tom Watson’s long-time caddie who succumbed to Lou Gehrig’s Disease in April 2004 and whose life was the subject of the best-selling book “Caddy for Life,” was a PGA Tour staple for decades and is still a guiding influence for many active loopers.

We recently asked Frank Willaims, Stewart Cink’s caddie and a close friend of Edwards’, what he learned from one of the game’s most accomplished and professional bagmen.

“I would like to have a relationship with Stewart like he had with Tom,” Williams said last week at Muirfield Village. “I admired the way he and Tom worked together and they were also friends off the golf course. I really want that with Stewart.”
