Among the litany of rumors swirling around Tiger Woods that have gone viral since Nov. 27 are ongoing accusations that he used performance-enhancing drugs. A recent national magazine recently reported that 24 percent of the 71 PGA Tour players polled believed the world No. 1 had used PEDs.
During an interview last week with Golf Channel’s Jim Gray, Woods’ former swing coach Hank Haney came to his man’s defense. “I spent 110 days with Tiger a year for six years. I spent 40 to 50 nights a year at his house. I’ve never seen him do anything. He’s never talked about anything. I 100-percent do not think he’s ever done anything,” Haney said.
There is also a good chance Woods has endured plenty of PED testing over the last 12 months. One Tour player who recently returned to the circuit from an extended injury-related hiatus told “Shag Bag” he was tested in his first event back.
As much time as Woods has spent on the DL since 2008 our guess is he’s become very familiar with the sample cup.
