Tiger learns key to happiness: Make putts

DORAL, Fla. – Tiger Woods finally figured out why Steve Stricker is always in a good mood. It’s simple, he makes more putts than anyone else.

Stricker has long been known as one of the purest putter on the PGA Tour, and much was made this week at the WGC-Cadillac Championship of him helping Woods with his putting stroke the evening before the tournament started.

Woods beat Stricker by two shots and needed only 100 putts for the week, a career-best on the PGA Tour.

“I am probably in a better spirit because I’m making more putts and now I know how he feels every day,” Woods said. “It’s kind of nice to make putts. No wonder he’s always in a good mood.”
