Tiger and the major part of life after 35

Tiger Woods turns 35 today.

Tiger fans will be wishing him a career arc more like Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan than Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer or Bobby Jones.

Nicklaus won six majors after he turned 35.

Hogan won eight majors after turning 35.

Tom Watson didn’t win a single major after turning 35, claiming all eight of his before doing so. Palmer also never won a major at 35 and beyond, winning all seven of his before.

Bobby Jones? He was in his seventh year of retirement when he turned 35, having won all 13 of his majors by the time he was 28.
