Tough timeline for Woods

RSS

For those searching for juicy or otherwise salacious details in the 29-page dissolution of marriage document that was filed by Tiger Woods and his former wife Elin on Monday in Panama City, Fla., they should get used to disappointment.

The document is filled with little more than “legal talk” and gives few of the details coveted by the tabloid press, but the sequential nature of the document does offer some insight into Woods’ ever-changing world.

According to the document Woods signed the “Marital Settlement Agreement” on July 4, the same day he finished at 4 over par and tied for 46th at the AT&T National, a tournament he once hosted.

Three days later, less than a week before he tied for 23rd at the Open Championship, Woods completed his four-hour Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course.

And for those keeping track, Woods tees off for The Barclays – the first of four playoff events and, currently, the only postseason tournament the world No. 1 is qualified to play – on Thursday.

When Woods sighed, “It’s been a long year,” on Sunday at Firestone, we really didn’t how long.
