RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Yani Tseng proved a good closer both times she held the 54-hole lead in an LPGA event last year.
Tseng won the Ricoh Women’s British Open and P&G NW Arkansas Championship after taking the lead through three rounds.
Tseng enters the final round of the Kraft Nabisco dominating statistically. Through 54 holes, she’s No. 1 in driving distances (297.7 yards), No. 1 in hitting greens in regulation (43/54) and No. 1 in putts in GIR.
Now that's how you win championships. Actually, that's how you run away with them, but the winds will make the final round a different kind of test. Short game should loom large.
