No Tweeting at Ryder Cup meeting

NORTON, Mass. – U.S. Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin gathered the eight players who have already qualified for this year’s matches and his assistant coaches for a relaxed dinner at Fleming’s Steakhouse in Boston on Wednesday night.

Pavin may have been looking for some advice as Tuesday’s deadline to make his four captain’s picks approaches, not that anyone who attended the soiree would say.

“We were told to keep that stuff between the team,” Matt Kuchar said. “(Pavin) said, ‘No Tweeting.’ And looked straight at Bubba (Watson, a serial Tweeter).”
