USGAs Sunday finish The plan

RSS

OAKMONT, Pa. – The suspended third round of the U.S. Women’s Open will resume at 8 a.m. Sunday.

Mike Davis, U.S. Golf Association senior director of rules and competition, expects the round to be complete in about 90 minutes. Play was called due to darkness Saturday with 30 players still on the course.

After a re-pairing Sunday morning, the final round will begin about 10:15 a.m. with threesomes going off two sets of tees. Davis expects the leaders will go off about 12:15 p.m. or 12:20 with play concluding shortly before 6 p.m.
