Vonn suffers partially torn ACL in training crash

Skier Lindsey Vonn suffered a partially torn ACL in her surgically repaired right knee after she crashed during a training run on Tuesday.

It was not immediately clear how this will impact her preparation for the upcoming Winter Olympics, or when she will next compete.

Much like boyfriend Tiger Woods, Vonn, a 59-time winner in World Cup races, has dealt with her fair share of injuries throughout her career. Just nine months ago, the 29-year-old tore the ACL and MCL in her right knee after she crashed in Austria.

Vonn’s publicist, Lewis Kay, said in a statement to reporters that the skier’s next step is to rest for a few days, then begin “aggressive physical therapy.”
