Masters champion Bubba Watson is now the highest-ranked American in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Watson gained a dozen spots to rank fourth – a career high for the Bagdad, Fla., native.
Hunter Mahan, Steve Stricker, Martin Kaymer and Tiger Woods all moved down a spot to make room for Watson, while the top three of Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood remained the same.
Masters runner-up Louis Oosthuizen gained eight spots from his playoff loss to Watson. He’s now 19th in the world.
With his tie for third, Phil Mickelson moved up five places to ninth. Matt Kuchar gained four spots to 14th and Peter Hanson improved a spot to 24th.
The biggest move of the week inside the top 100 belonged to Padraig Harrington, who improved to 80th from 96th.
