Weather woes in NOLA

RSS

The second round that was supposed to resume at 7:30 a.m. (CT) was delayed again Saturday morning at the Zurich Classic because . . . wait for it, of more inclement weather.

About 2 ½ inches of rain fell in less than three hours on Friday at TPC Louisiana, little more, to be honest, than a filled in bayou, and the forecast is not encouraging for Saturday.

Last week Champions Tour officials were criticized for only getting in 36 holes at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am, but on Friday Tour officials were still confident they could play all four rounds in New Orleans.

“We've still got a couple of options to get 72 holes in by the end of the day,” Tour official Steve Carman said on Friday.

Where was Carman’s can-do attitude last week at TPC Tampa Bay?
