Web.com Finals standings: Noh moves into first place

RSS

Seung-Yul Noh’s five-stroke victory on Sunday at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship vaulted the 22-year-old up 16 spots on the Web.com Tour Finals money list and back onto the PGA Tour next season.

Noh, who closed with a 69 on the Scarlet Course to finish at 12 under par, moved into the top spot on the Finals money list, but it was Shawn Stefani who made the week’s biggest move, bolting up 45 spots following his tie for 17th in Ohio.

Stefani is just outside the top 25 (No. 33) players who would qualify for the PGA Tour next season. The top 25 from the regular-season Web.com Tour money list are also playing the four-event Finals series, but they have already secured their 2013-14 cards.

Hudson Swafford moved into the top 25 with his tie for seventh, which propelled him up 15 spots on the money list; while Spencer Levin – who did not play the first Finals event and missed the cut in the second – moved into the top 25 with his tie for seventh at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship.

Steve Wheatcroft moved onto the bubble heading into next week’s Web.com Tour Championship at Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass. Wheatcroft tied for 14th in Ohio and is $1,579 ahead of No. 26 Bhavik Patel.

Edward Loar finished second to Noh at the Ohio State course and moved to fifth on the Finals list, although he’s already earned his card after finishing fourth in regular-season earnings.
