Weekley scratches itch

Glad to see ball-striking virtuoso Boo Weekley back in the hunt this week at Harbour Town, although it’s not much of a surprise given his closet full of Heritage tartan.

The two-time Heritage champion is a shot behind front-running trio Jim Furyk, Charles Howell III and Greg Owen after bookend rounds of 68. It’s just the third time Weekley has posted back-to-back rounds in the 60s this year.

Even more impressive is the fact that Weekley predicted he was due for a big week on Wednesday.

“I've got the feeling that this week is the week I come back,” Weekley said. “The last two weeks I've been off, I've actually played golf when I was at home, instead of going fishing all the time or hunting all the time. So I'm ready. I'm curious. I've got a little itch.”
